BABY NAME REVEAL!!!
Choosing a name for your first child can be a tough and overwhelming task. It's definitely not as easy as choosing our dog's name! Btw, we named our dog after our municipality's name, "Delfin Albano". That's why we call him Delfin! HAHA!
Naming a little human is different because it has a lifelong impact!
Naalala ko tuloy yung episode ng Rated K about unique names. Hindi padin ako makapaniwala na someone named their child, "Drink Water".
Then naisip ko, I really like one syllable names, a la Kim K & Kanye pero wait, suitable ba siya sa last name ng asawa ko!? HAHA!
Or to make it easier for us, Mark Jr. nalang kaya? Walang effort? HAHA!
I considered this naming process as one of Mark and I's first big parenting decision.
One thing is certain for us, we don't like a second name because:
1. We find it useless
2. We don't want our kids to have a hard time writing. HAHA!
Also, if it's a boy, the name should start with the letter "M" and letter "J" if it's a girl.
THE REVEAL
So we were originally going to wait until he was born, but we couldn't wait to share the name of our precious little one!
We figured that it's about time we reveal the name we're gonna be saying everyday for the rest of our lives.
Our boy will officially be named, Matthias Marcaida. Or "Mati" for short.
A name I got after a Sunday church service.
Acts 1:26
Matthias is a Hebrew name which means "the gift of God".
"He is the apostle elected to fill the place of the traitor Judas. He had been a constant attendant upon the Lord during the whole course of his ministry, from the time he was baptized and up to the moment he went back to heaven during the ascension."
What a fitting name for our first child.
He is indeed the greatest gift our God gave us! A gift that we waited and prayed for.
Our only prayer is that our boy, "Mati", will grow up loving and serving the Lord just like Matthias in the Bible.
FAMILY OF 3!
It's so surreal that our family dynamic is going to change real soon. Mark and I are so excited to see how Mati fits into our lives and who he becomes.
May the Lord equip us with wisdom and knowledge of godly parenting. May we be good example to this boy, leading him to be a good person and giving him a life full of love and happiness.
A huge thank you to everyone who's been praying with us and following along on this journey.
